James Luther Student File

Student file of James Luther, a member of the Pueblo Nation, who entered the school on August 23, 1906 and departed on August 31, 1909. The file contains an application for enrollment, a student information card, a trade/position record card, outing records, a returned student survey, a medical/physical record, former student response postcards, a news clipping, a progress/conduct card, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Luther was working for a railroad company in Gallup, New Mexico in 1911, running blacksmith and carpenter shop in Casa Blanca, New Mexico in 1912, and working for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Co. in Riverbank, California in 1913.

In school documentation James Luther is also known as James R. Luther and James Santiago Luther.

Note: James Luther is the son of former student Mattie Read (married name Mattie Luther).
