Anice Sakeeh Student File

Student file of Anice Sakeeh, a member of the Apache Nation, who entered the school on April 30, 1887 and departed on July 7, 1899. The file contains student information cards, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that Sakeeh married fellow Carlisle student Samuel E. Kenoi and was a housewife in Fort Still, Oklahoma in 1910.

In school documentation Anice Sakeeh's name is also spelled Anice Sakieh. Her married name is Anice E. Kenoi (Mrs. Samuel E. Kenoi). A descendant has shared that Anice had a prior marriage to Jay Simmons, and the couple had two sons named Edmond and Morten; Abner Kozine was her brother.
